Aminah discovered her passion for nursing after taking time to reflect on her future and what she wanted from a career. Although her mother, a nurse, had long encouraged her to enter the profession, Aminah wanted to find her own path and make the decision for herself. Drawn to the opportunity to help others while building a stable and rewarding career, she chose nursing and enrolled in school. Throughout the program, she benefited from supportive instructors, close-knit relationships with classmates, and resources that helped her prepare for the NCLEX and succeed academically. Today, Aminah embraces the lifelong learning that comes with being a nurse and feels confident that pursuing nursing was the right decision—one she made on her own terms.

Carla’s passion for healthcare began in middle school when a science teacher encouraged her by saying she could see a doctor in her future. Although she was disappointed when she was not accepted into her dream school after graduation, she refused to give up on her goals. After researching her options, she chose St. Paul’s School of Nursing, where she quickly gained confidence in her abilities and found a supportive learning environment. Through hands-on experiences and interactions with patients, Carla discovered a deeper sense of compassion than she had ever realized she possessed. Today, she is proud of the perseverance that carried her through the challenges of nursing school and finds fulfillment in caring for others, knowing that every sleepless night and moment of self-doubt helped lead her to a rewarding career in healthcare.
